A nice time to spend your Winter holiday: Go aboard and meet the summer. So I did, and went with Heidi, Karo and Tomi to Brazil. The first 4 days we stayed in the Best Western Manibu Recife Hotel in Recife. After that we travelled to Porto de Galinhas, were we stayed in the hotel Armacão. (With the prohibition of the slave traffic in Brazil in 1888, ships began to bring smuggled slaves in their basements covered with cages containing Angolan chickens,to the beach at that time called Praia do Porto (Port Beach). As they landed, the ship's crew invented a code to inform the population that more smuggled slaves had arrived and were available for sale: "there are new chickens in the port". Then, the location became known as "Porto de Galinhas" (Chicken Port)).The whole vacation the tempature was over 30 degrees.
